Doc. I have never read in the Shadowrun Universe at all, but I am thoroughly liking this story. It seems to me you can write in any Universe, you want to and do it well, even the ones you make up yourself. Thanks.

Sorry, guess there are still a few things I need to get added to the forums.

I have started at least listening to twitter Following a couple of comic authors I like and the second life grid status notifications. Well I just added a gadget to my sidebar that makes it easier for me to post what I'm doing. If there's interest in following me. My twitter feed is http://www.twitter.com/stonegrift/

If anyone signs up I may actually start posting what I'm doing.

Brandy, last night several of the people on the Whateley circuit got e-mails allegedly from you, saying that you were in London and needed funds to get home.

First, while I have nothing but respect for you, we're not really on that close of terms, that I'd expect you to feel comfortable asking for money.

Second, the wording of the e-mail suggests that the sender would have alerted me as to going abroad. There's no reason for you do to so.

Third, several others have gotten exactly the same e-mail.

It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to deduce that some idjit hacker has hijacked your database, and is trolling for whatever loose change falls his way.

I hope that this finds you in time, before any of your personal friends waste money sending it to 'You'.

Bek

Child of Confusion is up on the Whateley story site. Have fun.

Jericho: "Get your mind out of the gutter, you're blocking my periscope."

Eldritch: "Hey, I'm a classic case of what happens when you give a nerd a gun."

So. I realize I been going on and on and on about how I was almost done with Eldritch, and was gonna release it soon, then I got caught in a continuity screwup and had to revamp the project.

Well it may not be Eldritch, but it IS whateley and it IS the Outcasts, so here soon I will be giving you the following stories of Whateley Mayhem

I'm a Freak, Sue Me.

Child of Confusion.

Another day as an Outcast.

Hope you enjoy when they hit the sites.

1960's Japanese Animation. A step up from 'Astro Boy', so if you're into AB you might like it. Starts off okay, but gets silly at a very fast rate of speed. The fights are waged in stop motion (still shots of individual blows, instead of full animation). Just remember, that this is the stuff that the Japanese were putting out before 'Akira'

Can anybody give me any info on how the show is? The price is a bit off-putting for a blind purchace; but I'm genuinely curious.

Whateley Universe Temporarily Closed to New Submissions

Hi everyone and before there is a big yell, or whatever, as the title shows, this is temporary measure only. I've received a flood of submissions since the New Year and to be honest, we, the autors need a bit of time to assimilate all the new stuff and characters we've been given. Bear with us (and me) here since this will aid in maintaining continuity in the universe, get the new people settled in and comfortable with the way we work, and get all of us grounded on the newer developments (and expansions) on the existing universe. Also, this will help us maintain the quality of the stories we throw at all of you with such stunning regularity.

To those of you who have sent in submissions and as of yet not heard back, be patient with me please, I'm working through them and will get responses to all of you. The the ones who are currently working on corrections, rewrites, or whatever in response to our requests, keep doing those, your submissions have already been received and duly noted.

Also, those who have new characters/stories ready, do use the Fan Fic area to post them. That way we'll still see them, I promise you, and discuss them between us. Plus doing things that way, you get the story posted, the comments from doing that, and the notice that your story deserves.

In closing here, I want to thank each and everyone of you who have submitted stories, commented, or otherwise made Whateley into the success it appears to be here. I will be posting a notice of when we are accepting new submissions, and it shouldn't be that long, really. Just need a bit of breathing space here is all.

Thank you all, once again.

I like reading on my Kindle, and I like reading so many of the great fanfics here. Unfortunately, the forums are not very friendly to reading on the Kindle.

So, I thought I'd share this little tool I created to extract just the story from the fanfic posts.

This program can take the URL of a fanfic page, and it will download and extract the story from the posts on the page.

If you already saved the forum page from your browser to your hard drive (either web page, complete or web page, HTML only) you can also choose the file from your hard drive.

Once the program runs, you will have a nice, clean, plain HTML page with just the story, and none of the forum wrappings. This can be loaded into Calibre to convert to an e-book.

I created a command-line and a GUI version.

This program was written using Mono, So you may need to install the runtime to run my program. Windows users already have .Net, So they should be able to run it without installing anything extra.

The mono runtime can be found at
http://www.go-mono.com/mono-downloads/download.html

EDIT: Removed dependency on the extra library, and used standard Windows Controls in the GUI version.
