Of course she could accidentally get a pizza with snake-meat and finds that she likes it.

Anna did warn everyone. Squirrels eat meat too.

I find it funny how the squirrel bites bits of meat from the snake all over its body, and then wander away leaving a bleedign (but alive) snake behind.

He's basically not hunting, but rather treating the snake as a sort of meat tree to be harvested for his next meal.

For some reason, I completely failed to notice that Aquerna is aware that she's relatively tough in any of my previous read through of her stories.

here's an excerpt from the beginning of Straight From the Squirrel's Mouth :
Quote:
There were a lot of kids she could beat, like Kamuro or Lightweight or Glass or Skids or a bunch of the devisers. But there were a lot more kids she couldn't come close to beating.

So she is aware that she can beat plenty of people.

Quote:
A third of her Basic Martial Arts class could wipe the floor with her, assuming Anna was dumb enough to try and fight them like it was a sparring match.
Not "almost everyone" but just a third. That's not even half!

And it's actually pretty accurate. I've once done a complete power ranking of the kids in the Special Topic MA winter class and she ranked relatively high.

So I was hung up on how Aquerna is always downplaying her abilities, but she is actually quite aware of what she can do. She simply doesn't think much of it because she constantly compares herself to the top tiers (almost just like Ayla, actually).

It's been to quiet so I'm gonna post in LOTS of spots today, hehe. i think that next year Anna should be on a combat team, who should be on her team?

She's already in Team Wondercute.

Just remember that Anna has really low self-esteem. She won't see herself as tough or powerful. She'll see herself as an Underdog.

Anyone else get the urge to go watch the Underdog theme song on youtube when someone mentions that groups name here?

Sorry random thought.

Note that those are the ones which have pretty much no physical powers -- they are baselines with a gimmick, basically. Kamuro is the most powerful one in that list, and her power only helps in distracting her foe -- her sparks don't even burn!. Aquerna knows that she is pretty impressive against a baseline-level opponent, but she's pretty low on the totem pole of powers.

"Wipe the floor with" is not the same as "defeat." "Wipe the floor with", to me, means "defeat in an utterly humiliating way." Which means that a full third of her class is so above her power level that Anna thinks she has *no hope* against them. Doesn't mean that she thinks she can surely defeat the rest, either: the other two-thirds include the ones she thinks she would put a good fight against, but ultimately lose; the ones she might defeat in a good day, but probably would lose; the ones she thinks she has a reasonable chance of defeating; and the small group of the ones she thinks are no threat to her.

Don't call me Shirley. You will surely make me surly.

I just imagine her on a team, in the sims, the other team PISSED cause they can't catch her(parkour baby). But she's just the distraction. they follow her around some cars, up and over a roof and as they come over that ledge with her JUST out of reach....BAM! clobbered by the random brick with a batman-isk BAM sign that pops up. and i think she'd hold a decent hand against the average mage/inventor. they're not all FEY and Bunny lvl and it seems that the big stinky meanies in combat boots would throw her on a over powered team just to teach them to value the WEAK link.

"Okay, Anna, I've asked you here today to assist the Grunts in a scenario. It is about time that they recognised just how useful a low-offense team-mate can be.

The scenario? Dark Tennyo.

Dark Tennyo is somewhere between Total Overkill and The End of the World As We Know It, unless you have have world-shaking power to oppose her it's going to be a Curb-Stomp Battle of epic proportions, in Anna's case Dark Tennyo would just ignore her to focus on the bigger targets, Anna is unable to harm Tennyo in any meaningful way (if at all).

Anna's very good at evasion and manuvring with some good bases of martial arts to let her pull 'hit and run' tactics using taking as much advantage from the sorrounding enviroment as it is possible, however she's a pure melee fighter without superhuman strenght or flight abilitie, OTOH Tennyo has greater strength (usually Ex-3 level but sometimes she goes into higher level brick range, see below), forcefield, regeneration, very fast flight with excellent mavrability and very powerful ranged attacks with wide area of effect, Tennyo can outmanuvre her, attack her from outside Anna's combat range, overpower her in melle range and soak any damage Anna might try to inflict her, even worse Anna's evasion techniques are absolutely useless as Tennyo can simply carpet bomb wide areas and abliterate anything that Anna might be taking advantage of.... that is if Tennyo doesn't just vacuum clean her with a black hole.

Anna's best bet in a Dark Tennyo scenario are to try to hide and pray that the fight goes somewhere else or try to run away without drwing Tennyo's attenction, not much of a chance of survival but better than the assured death of mixing with a Person Of Mass Destruction in the middle of an Unstoppable Rage.

"Yes, As you may know, Miss Wilson demonstrates fairly normal strength for an Exemplar two or three at most times, but occasionally she goes well beyond that, into the range of many of our toughest bricks. It is not consistent and she has to be under stress to display such abilities, but we assumed that the times she displayed the ability were just such circumstances, and not related to some of her other abilities. Dr. Shandy followed up on this after the most recent findings and I must say what we found has disturbed us a bit."

It's generally assumed that if you're reading the forum stuffs, you're mostly caught up on the stories or don't care about spoilers, especially the older ones. Obvously there are exceptions to that, especially since some of the stories are in the forum right now, but still, the assumption is there, and for the most part, likely correct.

Another major exception is for the newest stories, people can spend time in the forum without being fully caught up, but we don't reference the new ones as much, so you can avoid the topics specifically about them without too much trouble.

EDIT

Oh, and if Anna goes up against Billie(can't remember how to spell both their codenames, so not using either), it will end up as a noodle incident, and Anna will end up winning, somehow.

Sorry Khade, but WoG (from Diane) has stated that Aquerna lacks Squirrel Girl's Plot Armour, so Tennyo would stomp her flat.
