Hmm, Sara mentioned that the cooks were going to such an effort to make good food for the average students, but she just got vermin in a cage. And wondered how a gourmet meal for one like her could be prepared...
Maybe she's just found her new chef!

Or... maybe, being bio-devises (that is, artificial life forms), they taste "off," like highly processed food? You know, like frozen concentrate reconstituted orange juice does not taste the same as the fresh-squeezed real thing?

I'm wondering if the "Deal" really happened or whether it was a convenient fiction to tell Jadis.

Jobe has her pride, she would rather blame it on a deal gone bad rather then admit that he grew weary of fighting it and wanted a safe way to finish the transformation while retaining his mind.

All he would have to do is supply Sara with more Tasty Snacks!

Besides the "Badly done deal with the devil" is cliche ;p

The whole basic concept of Jobe's original idea...have Sara remove all the Drow cells from his body leaving only the normal human ones. Didn't Jobe give any thought to the number of gapping holes that would leave in his body and general cellular structure?

Among other things he'd lose an eye, and that's only the beginning. It would strip away skin, bone structure (the chin, etc), and Sara only knows how much of his nervous system and organ tissue. This has to be one of the dumbest ideas on record.

I can't imagine Sara not pointing this out to him, an idea this dumb from a supposed genius practically demands comment.

That's another reason I don't think that is how it really went down, then again Jobe and Sara might have been in a situation perhaps against Counterpoint or a Voodoo wolves where Jobe managed to save Sara at a horrid cost.

Then again, it might have been part of a peace deal that he was fully aware of.

Sorry, there was a bit of a glitch in the release schedule and you've just received massive spoilers for the next Jobe story. Try to pretend that you didn't read them.

Eh. I don't think of them as spoilers. I think of them as massive hints to whet the appetite.

Besides, the _stories_ are fun, not just how each ends.

I agree the adventure is in the journey not the destination.

I figured that Jobe just needed an accent at the end of the name and a slightly different pronunciation.

Jobé, rather than Jobe.

Sure, why settle for just inviting the 'Yo, babe' puns and nicknames when you can draw them a map as well? Very Happy

Actually, I looked up Google. "Jobina" is a feminine analogue of "Jobe".
