There's a directional element to the phenomenon known as the "cognitive gap"?... Hm. Could be.


I'm very familiar with the practical end of that - apparently my brain works in nonstandard ways. So I usually end up with a sideways gap or something, I guess.

Cognitive... spark gap? Sounds like a devisor to me! Massive temporary boosts of mental power, a.k.a. devisor moods.

A cognitive spark gap might be a fun devisor item. I imagine it as a tazer that induces a devisor mood in whoever it zaps.

And we're only peripherally on topic. IRC roleplaying using modified Mutants & Masterminds rules set, which Tensai is working on the modifications so they can go back to Hard RP from the current Soft RP, not that all aspects of Soft RP would go away, but there will be times they want to use the Hard RP to resolve conflicts. That's the topic. Not the mental abilities, or lack thereof, of various and sundry roleplayers.

I never really expect someone to bring Hitler into a conversation. It's the kind of thing I have to maneuver myself into so I can bring it up. Then I have to bait some hate by taking his side using political speak to make it sound logical. Always a fun time.
