Could be, ... maybe. Remember, this is the same sort of 'being' that created that gate/GOO summoner.

In any case, I wouldn't lay bets one way or the other. Other than "How long does the landscape nearby survive?"

That is not at all certain, for precisely the reason that Tennyo did not get an A on her combat finals. If you start off by putting Tennyo under some sort of power nullifier she'd actually have a much better chance of beating (i.e killing) Caitlin since one of Tennyo's mutant abilities appears to be maintaining Billie's soul as a cover.

Whoever won I know the state where the fight would occur would lose.

Actually Tennyo's final was already mentioned. (Tennyo vs the world. Wink )

And it's because the teachers are so evil that they're not letting Cait out of the Combat Final as she IS so evil and can show others just how evil it's possible to be... (That IS if she can avoid the attempt to kidnap/subdue her.)

Caitlin's Combat Final is less for the edification of the students, and Caitlin, and more for the staff's benefit. They'd like to know what they're dealing with, too. They put Hippy and Hank in play because they're hedging their bets.

After all. Caitlin can't outpower both of Poe's biggest bricks, right?

Okay, just to be clear, I wasn't meaning in a school setting, I was referring to an actual fight, no holds barred, etc. Otherwise, Cait may have a chance.

This one's a moot point. Were it likely that Caitlin and Tennyo were going to fight, Caitlin would relocate to another zip code and call in precision, pattern, multiple nuclear strikes. How you ask?

"I'll Conjure them from my ASS if I have to!" -Caitlin

So here's the downlow. Caitlin would win by not engaging in that fight. period.

Any battle you walk away from alive is a win, for you.

Actually, I think it might be a hard win for Tennyo if she were to go up against Tennyo.

Tennyo has the raw power, and is thinking and developing a control over it more and more. (If this goes one Tennyo will become MUCH more dangerous/scary in the near future.)

------
As for Hippo & Lance vs Caitlin - I would give it even odds to a few points in Caitlin's favor.

Hippo has power, and a good amount of ability, but not a lot of control of her emotions, and doesn't think things clearly too well. On the other hand, where she knows Lance and is willing to trust him, she'll be dangerous as a heat seeking missile.

Lance is good and has the power to back him up, although he doesn't have the real world experience, and time applying what he knows.

Caitlin - Not the best control of her abilities, strongly suspect was a dragon which means experience and dirty tricks out the wa-zoo.

------------
Now if the teachers wanted to be a mean puppy... I would have put Caitlin in fight, a 3 man team that would REALLY challenger her. Lance, Thub (or Jericho), and She-Devil 'should' be enough to work Caitlin over or give her a hard time.

All Cait has to do to disrupt ANY fight is to pop off the runic clothes, let her aura go full blast. Even Tennyo would have some issues with that.

as to Cait vs. Tennyo, well, if she were to get a handle on her abilities, all she'd have to do is whip up some magic item geared totally towards beating her, duh.

Sure, if she has enough time before the fight.

Uhhh... have you READ "Upheaval" -- all three parts of it? Caitlin NEEDS her rune-covered clothing to contain her aura -- which is VERY destructive. If she chucked her clothes aside, the magical lightning that would fly would be a problem for just about anybody -- probably including Tennyo. In fact, the problem with that approach is that there's a fair chance of it causing a big-ass, campus-destroying explosion.
