One thing about De Vinci, according to a History Channel show about his inventions that I saw once, the era he lived in had no copyright systems, and people had a tendency to steal plans or ideas, so he put in his plans traps, one that they found was a gear that went in the wrong direction, which if they built it exactly as the plan indicated, would have torn the whole thing apart. I think it was a self propelled and armored cannon, but I can't remember.

Yes, I that's it, thanks. The reasoning they gave for the design having subtle flaws may have been just a theory though.

Shameful all these Leroys and no mention of
Leroy Jethro Gibbs
Ex-2 (4 mental)
Esp-3 (lie detection)
Paragon (firearms)
and while I'm at it
Ziva David
Ex-3
Paragon (weapon mastery)
Anthony Dinozzo
Ex-1 (2 mental)
Esp-2 (mild perception abilities and charm)
Wa-1 (time can appear to do nothing at all times)
Timothy McGee
Ex-1 (3 mental)
Gageteer-2
Paragon (computers only)
Abigail Sciuto
Ex-3 limited
Gageteer-2
Devisor-1
PS: If I remember my comicfan days Spider-man can lift 10 tons (or more depending on writer)
that alone puts him way out of the Whateleyverse scales never mind all the other powers he has

Shawn Spencer:
Warper 2(mangler)
exemplar 1 (psysical)
exemplar 3(mental)
Paragon
Note: If you don't attract his notice, he will do nothing, under no cercumstances should a crime be done anywhere near him, he notices everything, only his laziness can save you.

I wish to defend the exemplar 1, in that he isn't in bad shape, despite being a slob and very lazy.

A grab bag of characters.
Honor Harrington
Ex2 -NO regen
Empath 2
Rager?
Possibly Probability Warper. She's known as "The Salamander" for a reason. She does have a tendency to be in just the wrong place if living long and healthy are ones objectives.
Known weaknesses. No regen, immune to regenerative treatments. Poor classical math ability, (limited, exceptional natural navigator...which USES math)
Choo Choo Bear
Shifter-4?
Obviously shifter. but since the skin is always pink, and the volume seems constant, I'd refrain from going all the way to Jimmy T levels. Can shift very specific parts, so r, requiring 4. (He has shifted his testicles away from the vets attempts at neutering him at least twice...to Davans despair.)
Mike Harmon, retired SEAL.
Ex-3
Badass-3
Vicerene Alexander Graham "Tinker" "Beloved Tinker of Winds" Bell (Dufae)
Pre-change
Gadgeteer-6?
Wiz-0?
Post-Change
Gadgeteer-6?
Wiz-5?
Ex-2. Not THAT strong, a trace of regen, but elf beautiful.

Honor's got some form of Precog powers. How else do her enemies keep turning up in just the right location to fall into the trap she's laid?

Richie Foley(Gear)
Dev-3?
Gad-4
Rubberband man
Wa-5(elastic, stretch, and durability)
|
Richie is Gad only and...
Rubberbandman is shifter like Plastic Girl and Reach. Stretching is changing your body's form.

I would argue that while within the context of the original "Bang Baby Universe" or the current DC Universe that Richie is just a gadgeteer with metahuman intelligence; by Whateley standards, he would have both gadgeteer and devisor ratings, particularly since some of his equipment, at least in its early versions has only been usable by him.

Anyone have a clue what the characters from Bas-Lag would be? The weaver seems like a Warper, but I'm not sure what you'd call the Slake Moths
