In Bob's version of Jen, she would be considered an Origin Hero. Since she appears to still be rich and involved with Entertainment, I'm kind of wondering if she is an Origin in the Whateleyverse, and also, given her conversation with Elizabeth about not changing, how long ago she manifested (either as a Mutant or as an Origin)

Bellisario's Maxim applies here. In Bob's story, it all evolves from her transformation being an unique phenomenon -- the press eats it up, she becomes an instant celebrity and leverages that into a successful Hollywood career.
In the Whateley Universe, this wouldn't happen. An Origin having a sex change would be noticeable, sure, but the press wouldn't give it a lot of time. It's simply not unusual enough, not in a world with the likes of Crucible and Champion walking around.
So, in order to make it work in the WU, Bob would have to create a whole new reason for the media to take an interest on Jen. Essentially, he would have had to rewrite her origin. I think he just didn't want to do that.
If you look too closely, Jen is incompatible with the Whateley setting. So don't look too closely.
Don't call me Shirley. You will surely make me surly.

@ Avatard,
Bob Arnold's Zapped! series is indeed available from several sites. However, be aware that not all sites have the complete series of 22 chapters. I've just checked my downloaded copies and it seems that Sapphire's Place is the only site I know of that has all 22 chapters, plus several other stories of his. Even his own site only went up to Chapter 16!
In addition Bob began to write a revised begining to the series to account for a plot revision that he implemented around chapter 7. Sadly, he only completed and posted the first 3 revised chapters, as far as I know. Bob also began an off-shoot of the series called 'The Lost Pages' which, I believe' only had the one chapter, a story which linked in with another of his called 'Born to Race'. I think this can be found in the BCTS archives.
If you are unable to find the files drop me a line at john-burgess@talk21.com and I can e-mail you my archive of all Bob's stories.
Hope this helps,
John.

Follow the link from Jennifer Stevens' wiki entry for Zapped!, it will take you directly to the main page. Bob Arnold's stories are listed on his wiki page (if anyone knows of ones I've missed, let me know so I can update it). The Jennifer Stevens page also links to two sites with JulieO's stories, Jen appears in the Julieverse with Bob's permission. It has been mentioned that several other authors had permission to write Jen stories, unfortunately I don't know who they are or where their stories are located; I plan on asking so I can add that info to Jen's page.

I'm not sure of the extent to which they were authorized to use Jennifer, but Toni Trepasso had her cameo'ing in one of her stories, I think... and John from Wauwatosa also used her in his Whateley fanfic "Timeout," if memory serves well. But those were basically cameos, I think. Julie O incorporated Jen as a full-fledged character to her own universe, with Bob's blessing.
