Considering her planar travel abilities she has to worry about Negative Space Wedgie

| dpragan wrote on Wed, 04 January 2012 18:55 | Josie doesn't know it but Teleportation can be a gruesome power to go against.
From teleporting only part of someone away, or teleporting part of some THING Class X'y onto someone back here to the "Upeo Death Drop" teleporting someone into space or the heart of a star or Hawaii...inside the magma chamber.
Teleporting a blade or even a blunt object into someone's body or teleporting the heart out.
I'm not saying he would ever do such things, (Waits for Josie to stop barfing and Elcia to stop pondering) but I think they would be possible.
At most I can see Josie using teleportation as a form of welding in shop class. Or replacing Peeper's Mic with a sea cucumber from ^%($E ^&R UYÆVLþY Minor.

Well, Fey has teleported that stealth-implant/Class-X-drug-pump out of Merry, Ayla has trained to avoid doing it by accident with her phasing, Generator suggested Ayla to avoid fights by dropping a piece of concrete inside his opponent stomach, Bluejay used his teleportation to do a number with the rooks in the Halloween Battle, Murphy did the same by accident with her own arm and threatened to do the same with Kodiak's scrotum... so yes, maybe you are right.

It would depend on the mechanism of the teleport. If it opens a wormhole and then you step through it might just not work if there's too much mass on the other side. Or it might swap places, or force the offending matter out of the way, or who knows what?

I'm pretty sure Susan is a Paladin, am I right? She doesn't hear voices or anything, if she were an Avatar she would--and would probably know who her spirit (Freya?) is.

We don't actually know how Suzan gets her ice powers. She could be a TK with cryokinesis and the visions of nordic woman are simply symbolic dreamspace representations of her mother issues and powerset. She could be an avatar in denial, actively suppressing her spirit until "giving in" during that fire. We don't know.

| No, I don't think so.
Josh's power is very much not the generic Warper teleport power.
It's more like the ability to travel along paths that ignore the usual distance limitations by using unusual dimensions. So more like opening portals, or pathfinding in a inter-dimensional labyrinth.
Teleporting others seems dubious (more like dragging someone along the way) and certainly not breaking solid matter cohesion.
One marked advantage would be the capacity to bring a lot of people or volume of matter with him. Although most people going along with Josh would likely go mad as a result.

| No. Many Avatar don't hear voices either. Just look at Aquerna and Mongoose for example.
Actually, a Paladin is MORE likely to hear voices, since the process is more consciously deliberate from the spirit's part, and more akin to communication than communion, compared to the regular one.

Lets see, reality warping Mathematics isn't warping?

| It might be classified as some sort of magic. It might be considered that Josie's abilities seem to be about revealing and understanding the truth of reality on some level, rather than changing it. Of course, the truth of reality is that understanding or perceiving it tends to drive normal people mad.
I should think that Josie might well be able to gain some understanding of those papers Sara wrote that so annoyed the science (and maths?) department(s), and maybe learning Pattern Theory might help her with her abilities, too?
