Chou and Silver Serpent have a sitdown. How many ways could that possibly go horribly wrong. Or they might get on like a house on fire.

Ayla 9 is the first week of spring break.
I have a story for the first half of spring break that is NOT Ayla, Anna, Dee, or TK. It's done and waiting for the right moment. Call it "May Your Death Be Sweet." I have a story for the first half of spring break which is still under way, and it IS a TK + Friends story.
Then there's another story I have that is done, and it's set for spring break too. It mostly takes place outside of Whateley Academy.
There will also be an Aquerna combat final for spring term. There may be others. We'll see.
The Anna summer story is called "A Squirrel of a Different Color." Theme naming!
One of the unnamed summer tales is already finished. The other is still early in development. And there might be more, ultimately, as ideas percolate and erupt out of my brain like overheated coffee.
Also for the very beginning of Fall 2007 I have origin stories for at least two new students. Then Ayla 13 takes place in the middle of fall term, and Ayla 14 takes place during Xmas break.
Bear in mind that even one month ago, "May Your Death be Sweet" and the early spring Anna story did not exist. Conversations led to brutal attacks by my Muse, and presto! Stories! So there's no telling what's likely to happen next inside my head.

| I really would give up my left arm to be able to write half as fast and half as well as you.
My money is on "May Your Death be Sweet" being either GSD or (chem-based) workshop centered.

Since we've had the table of what's coming up, here's my latest count of how much everyone's written (excluding stories with more than two principal authors and Doctor Bender's controversial April Fool from 2010 which was unpublished before I saved the word count).
The actual spreadsheet can be found over at Google Docs, and here's the Top 10 extract:
Rank| Stories Count | Words Count Count % Diff
1 | Diane Castle 50 | Diane Castle 1,405,220 27%
2 | Bek D. Corbin 32 | Bek D. Corbin 689,066 13% 716,154
3 | Renae 26 | Babs Yerunkle 552,220 10% 136,846
4 | Heather O'Malley 24 | Renae 454,728 9% 97,492
5 | Babs Yerunkle 16 | Heather O'Malley 385,954 7% 68,774
6 | Joe Gunnarson 13 | Starwolf 252,649 5% 133,305
7 | E. E. Nalley 12 | Joe Gunnarson 244,957 5% 7,692
8 | Maggie Finson 9 | Renae, Dr. Bender 198,780 4% 46,177
9 | Dr. Bender 8 | Dr. Bender 198,007 4% 773
10 | Renae, Dr. Bender 7 | E. E. Nalley 171,736 3% 26,271

I don't believe that there is a canon author named 'Renae, Dr. Bender'

I remember reading somewhere that the average Star Wars novel has 100,000 words in it. I would love to see a picture with all of the stories printed out. Diane alone has written ~14 novels... Canon Cabal (TinCC), you guys rule.
The purpose of life is a life of purpose - Robert Byrne
Knick-knack grinned. “Increase power!” - Jade 6;

That's a lot of stories in the pipeline
And if 100,000 words = 1 novel, then that spreedsheet says that just those ten authors have written and posted a combined 45 1/2 novels so far
I knew I loved this site for a reason, Quality and Quantity, both in surplus
Is that to many exclamation points ?

Ah, I wanted to be the one to give the novel factoid!
A novel is at least 50,000 words. ...Oh, huh. There's a wiki page on this.
Diane alone has written the equivalent of War and Peace. Three times over.
A fantasy/science fiction novel is around 100,000 to 150,000 (with Dune coming in a bit under 200,000). This gives everyone in the top ten at least one novel of significant length. Most have written at least two.
