So I guess that Toni is only there to provide moral support?

Could be. But, I suspect she wouldn't be the Toni we know outside of Poe.

Tricia Leigh [noun] - A generally uninteresting woman with seemingly random flashes of brilliance. Also subject to equally random "ditzy blonde" moments. Extremely volatile when exposed to chocolate or fine Irish whiskey.

The central question will always come back to why this group of TG mutants is actually a group. Poe makes things easy because of the orientation and because they have to room together. A group of TG students would be unlikely to associate with each other unless...

Oooh, here's a thought. Make a TG group that happens to form, except the members don't realize the others secrets initially. You could use the "cosmic coincidence", "meddling precog", or "we just felt a connection" angle to explain why they start hanging out. Eventually they'll discover that they all have a lot in common, but not till after going to great lengths to keep their situations a secret. With this sort of scenario, you could sneak a group of characters together anywhere, anywhen!

Thoughts?

Damn infectious writer's bug.

No, I expect that at the beginning of the term Toni's *ahem* "naughty bits" still hadn't been totally reabsorbed, which could be a problem in one of the "regular" cottages. Same reason as Fey, actually -- except Fey got a speedup from her heavy magic use in the Ninja Night.

Don't call me Shirley. You will surely make me surly.

So does that mean Billie was meant to be the "support" person?

After all, she was the only member of Team Kimba to be fully one gender, and she's not even considering anything in regards to her sexuality yet.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if a certain precog actually did arrange for all of them to be placed in Poe; especially Billy, whom it could be reasonably argued should be in Hawthorne due to her lack of control.

Don't give our 'good' Reverand ideas! (And both Toni and Billie might have risked needing help with minor issues, even if they seemed to be coping well.)

Hm, well I have no intention of writing a fanfic, let alone entering the shadow cabal. At the same time, I don't think those two facts should get in the way of my pointing out The One True Right Way To Do Things to the rest of you sad, lost souls. Razz

I'm a big fan of far future idea. Set it after TK and crew have already graduated, or are seniors and therefore so far outside of a freshman's social spectrum that contact can be kept to an occassional brush.

C'mon, how many people have spent idle time thinking up what might happen to (your favorite member of the Whateleyverse here) after they graduate? Jade and Tennyo, supervillains extraordinaire? Fey, the Queen of the West...ern fashion empire? Ayla, head of Goodkind Industries after a ten year revenge-quest to completely ruin and exile the hateful members of the Goodkind family? Erin as one of the secret cabal of Godlike beings that rule Greece? Heads of the second most powerful religion on earth, and warring with the Order of Kellith (the first)? How about the stunning and inexplicable turn of events that ended with Tansy Walcutt being the next Champion? *Goggle*

Pick the far flung future that most amuses you, and by no means exclude the Cannon Cabal! I'm sure they'd have loads of fun suggesting possible outcomes.

And since the point of these stories would be at least 3 years in the future (if you like the TK-as-Seniors idea), there's plenty of time of an entirely TG cottage. It's kind of inevitable, doncha think? Heck, I doubt it would even be secret in another 10 years. Too many TG incidents.

Funny, I was writing on an outline yesterday, where she got hold of the Champion force but since she is a low level avatar, she couldn't control it but rather got controlled by it...

HEH.

Which brings up an odd situation: what if a student that nobody really liked made a power grab and ended up possessed by a spirit that forced them to become responsible and likeable? Inside, they're fighting and wailing at their fate, but the spirit forces them to be... *gasp*... friendly and popular!

Heck, throw in the idea of it being a male student forced to turn into a girl, and you've got a new character.

"Sure random female student that I barely know, I'll help you carry that."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
"Say, this is an awfully nice room... you're changing clothes? Well, if it makes you comfortable..."
We hates you, spirit! Curse you! Curse all of... *wide eyed amazement as the hot babe undresses*
*Hot girl-girl sex*
"Wow, I really enjoyed that. Was it good for you?"
*Blush* ... I hate you, spirit.

I've actually started outlining a story beginning with the school year after the cannon characters graduate, 2010.

Originally, I just meant to mention a generous donation from Ayla to the school, in the wake of greater numbers of mutants (increasing the graduating class from 150 to 250) and that's all. There's a cannon story about the rise in the number of female mutants, it was going to tie in.

A few hints as to "what might be" would be very welcome - I'm more than willing to run it by a critique first.
