Couldn't possibly be Jade's; There's nowhere near enough pink. =) Also, didn't she say that she couldn't sew?

If I remember well she made the Halloween costumes by charging Jinn into the fabbrick to keep it in position than used a sewing machine.

I thought there was just one Jinn involved, the one that kept the fabbric in positin while Jade sewed it.

When there was only one Jinn, Jade charged the thread and needle.
|
Jade charged into the needle and thread for fixing the cut in the stuffed lion. For sewing costumes, Jinn was cast into the fabric, to hold it together perfectly, and Jade fed it through the sewing machine; as someone who has sewn, I'm so jealous of that method, no having to pin everything together (and no having to worry about my mother's habit of missing pins afterwards, I got stuck by so many over the years...)

It's actually feasible for Jade to carry a miniature machine-shop around with her... so she'd be able to make field-repairs to gear as well as if she was in the workshop.
One of those combination mill/drill/lathe machines, about as much volume as that floor lamp, but, for (nominally) a devisor, much more useful.

Not a bad idea, actually, although I'd go with normal home DIY stuff. A powerdrill with a bunch of attachments and a folding work bench.
Maybe all that's really needed though are the tool bits. Jinn can provide all the necessary power and another J can act as a vice/clamp. If she wants to maintain deniability, then have an empty powerdrill; maybe just a flywheel.

Ditto on the first, not on the second. But that was why I invented the method for Jade to use. When I think about how long it takes to get everything laid out properly and pinned to the patterns and then cut... Oy. Having your fabric and patterns be alive and helping you cut and then sew? Wow, I could crank out something tricky in maybe one tenth the time.

Taking it a step further, Jade could do invisible repairs; weaving the lose threads of the fabric together. Maybe making tiny little knots.
Or how about weaving a seamless garment from yarn?
