Starting to, I hope, get serious about the fan character of Slip I decided to go with a a quick-tell of his origin and tacked it on to an older piece that takes place in October.

Just an odd concept this time, my latest full work is currently in the fan Fiction area. Mostly tossing this side fan-project at the wall to see if it sticks

The Selenite

New Houston
Shackleton Crater, Lunar South Polar Region
January 20th 2007

Neal Samuel Williams tried to pay attention to the monitor; the teacher was answering questions from both classes, but the three second delay on the lunar end was jarring. It wasn't even an interesting topic, who cares what some mud-ball leader named Napoleon did on June 18th, 1815 at Waterloo ... he lost to Wellington and Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher anyway.

Zoey Addison was a much more interesting subject anyway, from her spiky black hair to her slim body and pale skin; she also had rather "dere" once you got past her exterior "tsun"

Noel (Neal)Selene Williams: (Ex 1 En3+ Other?) Main Character/Changeling
Jacob Williams: Noel's father and someone of importance to New Houston
Zoey Addison: One time love interest/later friend
Clarence Bowie: Best male friend
Hitoshi Kobayashi: Other best male friend
Terri Morris: Zoey's best Friend and an absorbed Best friend of Noel

Not necessarily Whateley, but how long until someone has something like a bio-tech spacesuit in Whateley Universe. probably used by someone on the moon too.

Someone already does. Reach. And Spark for that matter.

Which, transposing that with this makes for a very dangerous sort of Reach indeed.

They don't have a helmet for it though.

Spark does not need one; she can reshape her pseudo-symbiont "suit" at will.

Reach would benefit from one. However, if you reread the story carefully, you will find out that Jenny always intended to add a hood to the suit -- it just hasn't been shown in-story:
"The Big Idea"

"I didn't want to work on a hood until the rest of the system has been approved,"

Then again I don't recall either Reach or Spark appearing as anything other than incidental characters since The Big Idea either.

You know, I'd quite like to see another story about those two, the first one was fun! Very Happy

John.

BTW trying to figure out a codename for Alexa Underwood (For her O-Type MID) she will need one so I decided to run Parable through an online Thesaurus and here is what it shot back:

Quote:
parable  [par-uh-buhl] Show IPA/ˈpærəbəl/
Part of Speech: noun
Definition: moral story
Synonyms: allegory, fable, legend, lesson, tale, teaching

Should I stick with the working codename of Parable or go with Fable or one of the others.

Personally I like Parable just fine. Fable has too many Disney connotations to me.

What are Alexa's powers? I presume that the code-name is relevant to them?

ATM EX3 (just above human) reaction times are EX4 (her body can't keep up with them though making her clumsy) WiZ 0+/Alchemical GSD in the mucus membranes.

She can see ley lines (Mostly after downing several energy drinks)

The further specifics are classified for now.

OK, I don't see that Parable is an allusion to her powers and I can't think of anything cool-sounding right now. :(
Not that Parable isn't a great name, it's just that I expect most code-names to be connected to the name-ee's powers or appearance or something...

Parable A simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson. Prime Example: Stories told by Jesus in the Gospels.

Although more in line with be careful what you wish for...
