I've been entertaining the notion of re-writing [i]The Martian Conspiracy..

Before tackling a project of that size, however, I'd like to know if there was interest in it. Smile

Oh yes, please do. As much as I enjoy the Whateley Universe, I always felt that it overshadowed the Care Giver concept, and focused everyone's attention and creative energy away from the CG's.

More stories would be very welcome indeed, including your re-write.

Claire, Not to be a snob about it, but the site IS primarily for the Whateley universe. We added the library as an area for the canon authors to be able to post their non Whateley stories in a timely fashion. Not all the authors have taken advantage of it.

I admit I came up with it as a way to draw more people to the site.

I know that, Warren. 'More stories' was more important than where they are located. But EE asked the question here so I answered it here. I wouldn't be here if I didn't enjoy the Whateley stories, and I am grateful to you for your work in providing this access.

---CGU SPOILERS in this post---

Ah, so not all the Care Givers stories are in the library. Good; I felt like I was missing something when there was a mention of Yotori Station being destroyed in Song of Corazon, which doesn't happen in any of the stories on the Library page.

I shall go download the rest now. Smile

There are worlds where the sky is burning, and the sea's asleep, and the rivers dream. People made of smoke, and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, and somewhere else the tea's getting cold...

Just finished reading "Home is the Sailor, Home from the Sea" and God damn you Heather O'Malley, I wish I could say I hate you for that story but I don't and the fact that I'm thinking that tells me that was a damn fine piece of writing imo.
That's all I can think to say right now.

Edit
In Hindsight this message may be construed as harsh, or negative. This is not my intention and I just wanted to make that clear.

I don't think that's harsh at all and thank you for that. Home is the Sailor is one of my favorite bits of writing as I think I cover that emotional arc successfully. Thank you.

Shoot, make it easy...why mess with proxy's.....drop me an email at stacygrrl2002@yahoo.com, and I'll attach an email with all the Erinyes and Caregivers stories to you. You should be able to access your email about anywhere. They are in .rtf format using Office 2007, but everyone so far has been able to read them fine.

To reawaken this thread, is there any chance at all about a new CGC story or chapter? Bek, E.E., Heather, Maggie, Straycat?

Please

Seconded. This is the best SF TG series/universe out there. I like the complexity and how they treat the issues.

I am sure it won't surprise anyone that I have a CG story in the works that is going in fits and starts. It has an interesting arc, but more in the Firefly sense of the word.

And I'm working on a CG prequel which got into the key parts of the story and then just died. It hasn't moved since I showed it to EE about a year ago. And my muse is making me work on a dozen other subjects.

Um... does you muse nee some cheerleading? Wink I'm glad both of you are working at something. Anyway, do you know if EE has planned anything to continue the storyline?

Does Firefly interesting mean it goes up for a bit, sort of wobbly, then crashes and burns in the most interesting way possible?
