In terms of codenames, half of the time I just come up with a codename first and create a character to match it.

Yep, I've done that a lot. Traduce, Corrosive, Tidewater...

So that's why her codename fits her so well!

Codename: ???? (official), Whistlepig (dubbed so by The Good Ol' Boys)
Real name: Phillip
Home town: Punxsutawney PA

Powers:
Avatar 2 (Spirit of the Groundhog/Punxsutawney Phils of the past)
- Gives him Precog 2, but limited to the weather
- Decent digging ability
- minor case of ASD (Avatar Structural Deformity) in the form of buck teeth and being chunky

And this one's not a student but a Mutant that got stuck in my head the other day, and someone might find her useful:

Codename: Death Belle
Real Name: Unknown, Jane Doe
Home Town: New York, New York

Powers:
Esper (level unknown)
- Knew when someone in the area died.

History:
- Found in New York suffering what looked like a mental break on 9/11
- Put in a mental health care facility
- while she never remembered who she was, her gift still worked, as she knew of several deaths that she shouldn't have
- Dubbed Death Belle by a nurse who was a fan of Mercedes lackey's Valdemare novels.

Death Belle is an interesting one.

I think she's interesting too, I just have no good use for her in the stories I'm working on.

That just means not enough people die in your story!

Esper level is based on how much control they have. 1 is "no control", 2 is "some control" and 3 is "total control"

I'm guessing that Death Belle is ESP 1 (Death Sense), which could also mean that she could see The Drinker of Oceans, The Friend to the Friendless, He Who No Lock Will Bar, Bill Door, Beau Nidle when he appears to usher the soul into the afterlife they believed that they would go to.

Umm, no. That was the original scale postulated decades and decades ago. The current Esper scale is the standard 7-point scale (blame Dr. Quintain for that), and involves a combination of reliability, control, durability, range, and power.

We really need to get that clarified. Sorry.

I was going from the Wiki. Since most of the information that I use comes from the wiki, it might be a good idea to update that or add an "Outdated" image for template purposes. I mean, the Bronze page could do with a big template at the top saying "This data is considered to be outdated by the Canon Cabal. As such, it is considered to be a lower level of canonicity than anything else that is canon."

That said, would it pin down too much future story detail to have all this new information on the wiki? As soon as the new information becomes public, I will learn it and use it.

I don't think the Canon Cabal run the Wiki, so it's up to the fans to change anything that is wrong.

Eh, I have enough death in the one (One Empier City Guard dead, a few dozen people trampled to death or blown up...), but not close enough for her Death Sense to pick it up.

In regards to having a code name and building from it, I am stumped on the build, but have a good Underdog code name: [i]Dust Bunny[/u].
As you may guess, I was cleaning and chasing dust bunnies when it came to me.

In regards to Dust Bunny, that name tells me that the user is much stronger than you'd think, and has powers that help with ambush, possibly with teleportation. But that's just how I'm seeing it.

One of the character ideas that I have been sitting on for a long time; one down, fifty-six to go.

**As I don't write stories, I am willing to share my characters, please tell me first**

MagnaOrb (Whateley Class 2007-11- Male) -- Power Ratings-- MAN-4, EX-1
Name: Desmond Auricula
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 187lbs
Age (Date of birth): 28 February 1992
Hair: Light brown
Eyes: Grey
Build/body type: Chubby
Race/Ethnicity/Religion: Caucasian/American
Place Of Birth: Glen Burnie, MD

Assoc: None at this time

Appearance: Not overly long, but shaggy hair atop a round face with chubby cheeks. Large framed and possessing a thin layer of fat all over body. His student costume consists of a pair of bulbous black goggles.

General Description: Des will probably join a hero team someday, but right now he is more interested in finishing high school. To him Whateley is the same as any other school, just with a chance of being flambéed before breakfast.

Powers: MagnaOrb can manifest an eight foot diameter spherical shield about himself. The sphere is transparent and weighs about 300lbs. It is watertight but not air tight. It can stop small caliber bullets and alter the trajectory of larger calibers enough that sniping would be unreliable. Both the interior and exterior surfaces have surface fiction similar to glass. His exemplar trait is limited to heightened stamina and a difficulty losing weight (and the eye color change).

Skills: Des has learned to run fairly well in the curved area of his orb, so long as he doesn't have to stop quickly or turn on a dime. He has also been taking lessons on the trombone.

Personality: Des is rather mild mannered and unassuming, a reliable friend if not particularly assertive. His only real passion currently is Top Cow comics.

Weaknesses: Normal human weaknesses, low ceilings/narrow openings, Stairmasters.
