I keep my SWG account open mostly out of habit. Occasionally I log back in to check on things. RL and Whateley have been keeping me busy.

I play a female bothan TKM/entertainer on the Kettemoor server. If you see one, it's probably me. We're an endagered species.

The closest I've gotten to MMORPG's has been .Hack and some Diablo II on battlenet. You don't have the answer I would need on the poll- I like games, like the idea, but don't want to shell out 10-15 bucks a month to do it.

Diablo 2 is so boring i lost all interest after a couple weeks.

rather play starcraft far more interesting and it doesn't get boring although it extreamly mental tiring (when playing in the higher skill levels i.e. hasu to gosu level players)

Try Anarchy Online... you can download the classic software and play for free. You only have to pay if you decide to upgrade with the expansion packs. It's really better if you have them, but you can still have a lot of fun with the game and not pay a thing.

And if it isn't obvious, yes... I'm very much an AO person. Been playing since Dec 2001 and very active in the forum community there. I've played most other MMO's since then as well, though most only for beta or a short while after release. I'd like to get into the industry at some point as a developer... and have been a builder, designer, and coder at several MUDs over the years.

Well, before I went sailing sailing into the Arabain Gulf, I had a presence in City of Heroes (Froststar on Pinnicle) and World of WarCraft (Hunter Liliandra and Druid Jurania on Feathermoon)

However, I am deployed at the moment and, for some strange reason, the US Navy wont let me install MMORPGs onto govronment computers. Shocked

you're lucky... when I was still in, everything was still DOS based and transferring files from division to division on the ship required the availability of 5 1/4" floppies. The scariest part of that is that it wasn't as long ago as that makes it sound.

Yes, technology has made file transfers a great deal easier....

...now if I could only figure out why people are still screwing it up Evil or Very Mad

I had a Female Shade called Jehalelani in Anarchy Online for some time. And yes, Kristen, I was one of those Clanner Scum types.

Had a Mystic Defender (Empath-Dark) in high 20's or low 30's (don't remember exactly, its been a while) within the first month but dropped the account because while I loved making characters and the playstyle... there just wasn't enough challenge to keep me interested. Probably didn't help that the task force missions were still seriously fubar.

AO's about the only MMO that I've played longer than the first month or two past beta. Haven't been doing beta's since CoH came out though, didn't have the time at my last job... and don't have the connection for it here. Maybe after I get back to work and am living somewhere I can get broadband again. Smile
