I just read Babs' Planetary Agents series and well, I just wanted to see what everyone else over here thought of it. So the question is, have you read it? If you did, what did you think of it?

For those who haven't read it, head over here: http://www.fictionmania.tv/searchdisplay/authordisplay.html? word=1594
And start reading it NOW!!!. It's a great read I can tell you. I do have one warning for those that can't stand to read a story that isn't finished, if you absolutely must have a proper ending, then only read part 1 and 2. BTW, you've probably heard of "Trin and Macintyre, Planetary Investigative Agents" in one of Ayla's stories, which is based on some the main characters from Planetary Agents.

*Spoiler warning from here on, read at your own discretion*

I personally really like part 1 and 2. Part 3 is great too, until Caitlin falls in love with Doug. For some reason I thought it got a little boring after that, but that's just me personally. I think I would have liked it better if Caitlin and Katherine got together, although I'm not sure about Katherine's sexual orientation. I mean, Caitlin had pretty much just concluded that she liked guys better than girls and to then fall for a girl and a human-feline hybrid at that would surely make her question herself. Would also have been interesting to see how the school would react to such a couple (not so much the girl-girl part, but the human-human-feline hybrid part) and to see what Danielle would say to that for example (Danielle already seems to have a thing against Kate and Caitlin anyway). Oh well, that just me.

Now, what do you guys think of Planetary Agents?

P.S. I wasn't sure if and where I should post this thread, but I hope this is the right place. It is a story by one of the canon authors and should thus be in the Library section IMHO.

Well, I just stole the names as a shout-out. They're not the same characters or anything like that.

I read it when it was originally published, oh, was it more than ten years ago? Yeah it was, if memory serves well those stories (along with "I Blame My Hormones") were published elsewhere (possibly Sapphire's) before being brought to Fictionmania.

I remember liking them very much -- I even went to the trouble of figuring out how to extract the pics from "X-Change" to get better-quality, uncensored pics for "I Blame My Hormones" -- but I'm fuzzy on the details after all this time. One thing I particularly remember was the final scene of Joshua's transformation, in the shower -- I thought it was a bit icky but very well done, going in a bit different approach from most sci-fi transformations.

I remember this one too. The details like Sir Lee said is a little fuzzy. Still I do recall enjoying it.

Babs never finished it, unfortunately.

Babs falls under the radar for long stretches at a time.

Looking back to around the year 2000, I can say that there are three series that got me into the TG fiction scene. Heaven and Hell was the first, Planetary Agents was the second, Foxglove was the third.

Yes I love Planetary Agents but I've long since given up on ever seeing it continued much like Foxglove.

We had a Babs sighting very recently, actually. Smile It was accompanied by several canon authors going "OMG BABS! You're alive!" If you're lucky and play nice, maybe she'll come out and say hi. Wink
