Okay, minor request.

Since the main site is updatable again, can we have an update of the stories tab along with the what's new section? Ayla 9 is already running up to 8 chapters, it'd be nice to be able to go to one place to look at them all.
That would require the rest of Ayla 9 etc moving off the forums too so I guess it would take some poking around to do. No rush, just a suggestion.

Unfortunately, right now that is all me. I'm writing Ayla. I'm writing Anna and Dee. I'm writing other stories. I'm editing for everybody. I haven't had time.

I only get to breathe while cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, messing around on the internet, doing RL contract work and consulting, LOOKING for more work (more time-consuming than doing the work), and trying to keep my now-17-year-old from doing anything else crazy. Teenaged boys don't seem to have evolved into homo sapiens yet. At least, I didn't have these problems with my daughters. I usually try to work in an hour or two of writing most nights after everyone else in the house goes to bed.

Diane, just so you know, your author page (http://www.crystalhall.org/scramblerj.html), doesn't work anymore, I'm getting page not found errors

Reading all that made me tired. If I had the money, I'd hire you a personal assistant and a maid. Probably a keeper for you 17-year-old as well, now that I think about it. Teenaged boys are a full time job.

Ok, sorry if I step on some toes with this, but I wanted to make a proper page for my PDF conversions, so I hacked together a nice list of all the stories.
(link removed, see below)

It should be up to date on almost every released story (with some small exceptions, e.g. the april fools ones)

While we don't mind that you have copies in whatever format you wish for your own archives, you cannot provide those in a publicly accessible format anywhere without being in violation of copyright, thepowersgang. The reasoning here is that it takes access control out of the hands of the author. This has been explained a number of times if you want more details... but unless you get specific permission to have them up on your site, you're going to have to remove that.

Kristin,

I'm sorry I didn't ask first, I do link back here and have a copyright statement at the bottom, but I respect your copyright just as I expect others to respect mine (I do a lot of hobby programming).

The archive has been removed, but I still have the code available if you would like to use it as the basis for a new homepage.

So it's been about a year and a half since the Stories page updated.

Is there anyway we can help to get this page updated? It's only html.

It's all my fault. I haven't had time to get the stories all off the Authors Corner forum and set up properly on the website so the Stories and Author pages can be updated (along with the homepage). I keep meaning to, but I just never have enough spare time.

Diane, I prefer you write stories instead of spending your time to something like this. But maybe you could delegate this work to some non author? It makes the site more accessible to new readers after all.

Yours, Leo
