| There's really no chance of that happening. Actually, it is so obvious that I hadn't even noticed those lines that indicates that her self-image is not as abysmal as I imagined. Her capacity to assess her actual capacities is actually quite good!
So her very low self-image doesn't cause too much perception bias.

| Absolutely! It's a point I often make. A lot of the kids at Whateley don't have physical abilities above that of a regular kid. Even those who have a combat power can be quite vulnerable. And Aquerna is very clearly above the "baseline human" level. So that put her ahead of a lot of students.

| Precisely.
Against about half of the rest of the class, she doesn't actually beat them but make them work hard for their win. Like against Shadowolf for example.

I'd like to point out a couple of things. Her powers or abilities...doesn't matter. Her self image...doesn't matter. The powers or abilities of the other students....doesn't matter. What matters is that Bardue is a stinky poo poo head. He is what would matter when it comes to Anna on a combat team. And lets not forget about Ito. If those two think she can improve or is better than how she thinks she is guess what, team tactics. If a squirrel ran into their kitchens and stole their favorite nuts right out from the assortments Phase sent them guess what, Sim time!!!!! I can see her on a team just because those (as is mentioned MANY times in the VARIOUS stories) two are sadistic ba$tard$.

I'd say they take pleasure from seeing you endure and perhaps thrive, despite the circumstances, but don't take any pleasure in seeing you hurt. Not sure what that would be called.

it's a sim so the pain is simulated. And that view of those two are not MY view of them. I was actually a Drill Sergent in the Army so I know that mentality. I was pointing out a very common view that the STUDENTS have of those two. And Bardue WOULD put Anna on a team if he felt that she'd benefit from it. even if it was to give her a chance to compare herself against as many students and powers as possible in a controlled environment. It'll help her when she has to decide when it would be better to run or fight.

| Except she's an Underdog and therefore exempt from the whole Sim and training teams thing.

which they've done time and time again. team Kimba are freshmen. i thought they weren't to do that until second years. and aren't the sim schedules supposed to be more spread out. how many days in a row will we see team Kimba in the sims. How many times is the monster squad in the sims. seems that 'rules' can be bent at anytime that its convenient for the guys in charge. which IS the rule in this world right?

The Outcast Corner one makes sense, from a reader perspective, the Masterminds were paid to get them on the combat fast track, because they're really fun to watch and bet on. And Technically at least two of the Kimbas are Sophomores, Which means they're actually late in the combat stuffs, so they could conceivably be catching up, and we don't actually know how the schedule for the class they've been shoehorned into works, I'd guess that after the first week the sim runs will be lowered to at most every other day, maybe as low as 3 times a week.
The Outcasts themselves don't know why they're always in the sims though, though I can imagine Bombshell feeling bad about doing this to them, since they're likely nice to Jello.

Jericho should end it with a bang. Once, just once he should go in there with a WMD and end the sim in 10secs. maybe a poison fog that kills EVERYTHING.!! bruhahahahahaha!!!! cough...cough, um i mean, I was just pointing out that there ARE exceptions to the rules and Anna could easily find herself in a team tactics class next year.

either way, Anna is awesome and I'd like to see what she can do. there have been hints of her having an interesting summer and I think a slightly changed attitude might come out of it. I honestly see Anna being a decent fighter with the right backing even without her being overly powerful like some of the others. Say a dual wielding ninja-chick. she can run, she can jump and she knows kung-fu. female Robin anyone? and no not bat-girl, I HATE bat-girl!

Not allowed. They wouldn't let one of the Bad Seeds bring in a tactical nuke, and they didn't allow Ayla's PSI Grenade.
