What ever happened to the idea of "Jade Sinclair, power armor test pilot"? Or has Peril cornered that market on her?
She might currently be to small to test some of the power armor that needs testing. Or she could be busy. Didn't Ayla suggest her selling her skills at fine manipulation of small machine parts to the Workshop people? That would probably be a good income source if those kids could pay her from their lab expense accounts.
I believe that she is already doing that I think it was hinted at in the last Ayla or so.
Yes. It's been stated that Jade's been hanging out with Workshoppers. That's likely to be part of it -- beefing up her devisor credits and bank balance both.

But the power armor testing idea wasn't about either. It was about the need for speed... solid protection... and high tech ammunition.

IIRC - and I'm far from sure I recall correctly since it's been a long time since I read Jade last and I've had much else to fill my mind with - even if Jet is a one-way thing, Jade has shown that she can through physical contact communicate between herself and her manifestations, if that is what they are. Or was that between manifestations? Anyway, if I recall correctly, she wouldn't need to download all in one go as Jet let go, she could have resynched a lot of times.

It is simply telepathic discussion. They don't "download" all their memories or anything like that. It's a more discreet and efficient way to discuss, but that's about it.

yes and she can do it with others.
she has done it with Billie.
so I guess if it were to be classified it would probably be like a range 0 telepathy for her spirit forms. just poke a finger into someone enough to touch a nerve then chat.

If Jade worked on it (I don't expect her to) she may be able to use that as a 6 foot danger sense or telepathic ability.
Touch a person and sense there body movements as they strike, allowing for instant counter attacks and dodges.

Perhaps she could, but I do not expect her to either. Jade would be cautious about casting into strangers. Who knows whom might have a PK shell or Avatar potential?

exactly,
once bitten, twice shy
Jade its probably not going to put much study into anything that stretches out her spirit form over a distance.
except the pixies, because Nikki asked for them.

Most of the time but not all of the time. They started that way but Jade couldn't sustain enough charges to have them as separate images.

That was a tactical decision, a calculated risk taken based on (a) having other interesting uses for the charges at that moment, and (b) As far as she knew, there was just one hostile mutant in the entire building, and she was pretty sure Hekate wasn't an avatar.
But most of time, she preferred using a single charge for each pixie, in order to (a) avoid the avatar risks and (b) not be limited to "flying in formation" so to speak.

Also, I'm pretty sure she summoned them for a photo shoot, not a fight.

Initially yes, but later no.

She'd expended three charges on the pixies for the photo shoot; not expecting to need to conserve power.

When captured, one pixie had released her hold, only to demonstrate to the others that the circle would contain their naked spirit. When released, the other two were still around to help Generator gather gear while she recovered.

Then she called everyone home, and single charged all three fairies to sow confusion. She risked leaving the spirit lace stretched between them vulnerable to Hekate's magic, but it left her with precious charges for Jann, zombies, the jury-rigged spinner, and emergency 'devises'.

Ayla
Knowing Jade as I did, I was sure that someday, some jerk would yank her purse away from her, open it up to look inside, and get a faceful of angry hornet surprise. Hell, I wouldn't be all that surprised if someday some jerk opened up her purse to look inside and got a faceful of her best mimicry of the facehugger from "Alien". I was just hoping that a surprise like that didn't happen while I was eating nearby.
So what if Jade made a facehugger loaded with makeup and such, that would use it's Jinn powers to do a complete girly cutie makeup to the face it is hugging?
That would be a fine Wondercute weapon, mixing horror with Wonderhorror.

You know, if Jade ever got into Ayla's mind, she would have to have a notebook for all of the evil ideas that Ayla comes up with for her powers and never mentions to her.

Turning it into a Death Note?

Any sufficiently unethical experiment is indistinguishable from Hell.
