| Diane Castle wrote on Thu, 29 March 2012 07:37 | Anybody can get out of the whole training team deal. The *easiest* way is just to say, "I am hereby a member of the Underdogs." There are plenty of other ways too, since there are lots of exceptions and loopholes. But most teenagers with powers want to get to play in the sandbox with the cool kids.
|
So membership of the Underdogs is a right, not a privilege? Is there anything to stop a more powerful student joining?
Although I can understand that a lot of kids would love the live-action video game that is the Sims, surely there'd be some that weren't so keen. They wouldn't even have to be pacifists, just opposed to wasting their time with something that didn't interest them. Why have a bunch of loopholes: why not just let them opt out?
It also seems that if nearly every student is involved in simulated battles, the sim facility is going to be very busy. (Although my back-of-a-fag-packet estimate suggests it's just about doable without requiring shift-work.) Is this something which carries on throughout their time at Whateley?

Wait till Wondercute really goes all out

Bardue: "Tell me they don't have Generator on their team. PLEASE tell me they don't!"
...
Bardue: "Generator AND Superchick?!?! NOOOOOOOO!"
Wilson: "Is this where you clutch your heart again and yell 'I'm comin' Elizabeth?' I love that bit."

Wasn't Bardue present at the time of Wondercute's first run?

I think that Chou lee set it up for them with Eldritch. If I remember correctly.

But there was Sam groaning at the "Wondercute Power Activation!" cry, as well as noting how effective all that chaos was.
Wasn't bardue there too?

Oh my! Phase and Palantir teamed up? It even looks like it could work well for them too. And maybe Geomancer also.
Not something I expected, but... yeah, it could. Nice...

And so Spring has Sprung at Whateley. Interesting to see Tansy taking Magic 101, good to see that the fallout from Chou breaking off of the team is starting to settle out. No sign of Stacy (The Silver Ghost), but unfortunately one Spring semester story covering part of the first day of class from one point of view is not sufficient to be conclusive about who is or isn't at Whateley yet.

Jimmy T and Slab apoligize for their last chat they had with Phase, first lesson for Advanced Physics (with the relationship with Pendragon getting better), Spanish II (being hit on by a dork) and Intro to Magic (or whatever the name is), then lunch and a clifhanger involving the Spy Kids catching up with him while he's going to the dojo..... what can I say?....
The foreing object causing Mugwump's cloacal obstruction has a probablity of the 99,87% (round down) of being Mugwump's cranium, and Peeper needs to face the consequences of his actions, in my opinion he should either find out that the cease and desist is enforceable and getting a restraint order, or finding out that the case falls under tribal jurisdiction and he finds himself having to answer for his actions to the Weres.

I hope that Belphy will chose Viconia as codename.

|
She could use the handle "Shoggoth Tamer".
