I guess this is a decent place to put this, my computer got hacked and I may have logged in here in the time it was hacked, not sure what type of hack yet, but it was nasty, and I'm having to change passwords. Hopefully I haven't done anything or caused problems in the meantime, but this is a heads up.
Oh, and if you're using XP, be aware of XP Security 2012, it's not benign, and I have no idea where it came from.

Ouch! Yeah that probably is as nasty as the 2011 and 2010 versions.

If it helps, the most common vector for that set of extortion-ware is through Adobe Acrobat reader.
What happens is that there's an iframe (or flash), with an embedded PDF (corrupted executable). Because the browser loads PDF files directly, it executes. You don't see it because the frame is exactly one pixel square.
Three things that you can do, in order of worst to best.
1) Keep Adobe Acrobat and upgrade to the latest version.
2) Remove Adobe Acrobat, and put in Foxit Reader.
3) Disable PDF viewing in your browser. Make it require that you save it to the desktop, then open it manually.
4) Do 2 and 3.
