I'd forgotten about these, which is a pity, since this was a good story. I hope that you do find more to say about Berdina and Vicky.

What they said. Seriously, Berdina will be a fun read especially when she starts going green on the other students (and hopefully not in the pretenious way that we currently get). Although, I would like to she how she handles the Beret Mafia as she would probably be a lot like Charmer.

Thanks for reposting this story, I enjoyed reading it again.
The only thing which let me stumble a bit was the amount of money she got by selling gold:
The account was quite large, the total of all the checks came to 67,052,305,022.56 Euros. The bank was so happy to have such a large new account, that they asked no questions of the grandmotherly looking old woman.
To get so much money she must have sold gold for millions of Euros at each place?

67 BILLION Euros is equal to 98 BILLION US dollars. I find it a little weird that that amount of money comes from pretty much no where and the bank doesn't even bat an eye. Also, I think that old lady just became one of the top 5 richest people in the world. Certainly one of the top SINGLE richest people if she has direct access to that much money. Ayla is poor as hell compared to her.

Gold today is worth $1,515.43 per ounce with 12 ounces equaling 1 pound (troy pound is used for precious metals). This means the grandma sold approx 64,668,114 ounces of gold or 5,389,009 POUNDS of gold (which is about 2,694 TONS of gold). I think the market would feel that much gold going into it, not to mention that someone in the government would notice a single person suddenly become as rich as several 3rd world countries.

For Euro math we have today's price of €1,051.30 per ounce. Giving us approx 63,780,371 ounces of gold or 5,315,030 pounds (2,415,922.7 kilograms or 2,657 tons of gold).

To m.d. and Avatard, ah, but the amount of money she built up wasn't due just to the amount of gold. Remember this part "He practically started drooling when he realized how old they looked. They were masterpieces of some ancient goldsmiths' work. The artistry and age alone would have made them valuable."

So, it wouldn't take nearly as troy pounds of gold to build up her fortune.

Still, maybe I did make her a bit rich by human standards.

I agree with both MD and Avatard, The amount is a bit much, I would think you could drop that by 3 orders of magnitude, and it would still be plenty for Whateley to consider making her "grandmother" a sponsor. That is a minor nitpick though, it is just money, if you decide to change it, you might also fix the bit with the music teachers name
As Patient As Water
A tall, dark man, withsmoking hot looks twalked in and said in a voice that had the girls (and a few boys) in the class swooning, "Hello class, I am Armand DeSoto, and I will be your instructor. Today, I am first going to have you each sing a bit of song that you are comfortable with."

should be:

and you later have
As Patient As Water
Berdina was actually the last one into the Powers Theory lab class because of her talk with ((M -V teacher)). She saw Vicky there. and went to sit besides her. The desks around them were either pushed away from Vicky's desk, or were empty.

Just some minor edits though. I really did like the story, and I had meant to just comment on the not having inserted the Voice instructors name, and then got a little carried away with my critique.

I reduced the amount of money. I also made edits correcting the errors that Isodecan pointed out. Thanks Isodecan.
