It was suprisingly hard to make a choice on this one. Team Kimba seems to really be based on :"it's not what you have, it's what you do with it." I finally picked Fey, mostly based on her potential versitility, but depending on my mood I could have just as easily picked Jade, or Merry, or somebody else.
One other odd thing. I noticed you used codenames in the poll for Fey and Tennyo, and real names for the rest. I did the same thing in the timeline, for the most part. I think it makes sense for Tennyo- we don't often see her refered to as Billie. But Fey is refered to as Nikki a lot. I wonder why we're mentally filing the characters like that.

I thought this was hard becouse so many of the characters only get thier powers becouse of some HUGE amount of baggage thay have to carry around. I mean, i don't feel like carrying around the ghost of a space pirate, or being the reincarnation of an elfen queen, or the daugtor of a demon, or have glowing blue skin and eyes and stuff. Those characters all remind me of AD&D preists. Sure you get a little bit of power, but you have to be some god's bitch for the rest of your life.
i'd rather stick to the simple super brick. Otherwise, i agree that jade has REALLY COOL powers. espetialy that she's getting more control, she's definantly my second choise. Like multiple man without the pain or the evential insantiy when you get clobbered by apocalypse. but you can't compete with the versatility of a flying brick.

What is the reason for the no H spelling?
I am not paranoid homonyms are out to get me. Homophones, Heteronyms, Polysemes, Capitonyms and words with similar spelling it is all a vast conspiracy.

Definitely. I mean, Tennyo's power comes at what is definitely a too high cost, same with Sara. Merry? Tugged in four directions at once, a power (or rather a side power to the actual power) she doesn't have control over, invuluntary knight with the nasty aspects of that, involuntary werecat, multiple personalities? At least the magic is more or less straightforward. Her main power is just awesome, but the baggage! Chou's power isn't her own but the power of the Tao, which feels a bit limiting. Hank's power is rather worldly, but I think it's a rather boring one. Fey's just awesome power wise. Though the cost of being Sidhe? That leaves Ayla, Toni and Jade. I chose Jade in the poll, but really, there's benefits to either power set.| Quote: |

I think it's got a bit to do with how people present themselves. Tennyo might be Billie's code name, but she's using it like it's her name and not just a code name. Fey likewise presents herself that way at times. The others use their code names far less like names. Ayla uses Phase sometimes, but how often do you see Sara calling herself Carmilla, Hank calling himself Lancer, Jade calling herself Generator etc? Combat/training situations, not much else.

I picked Toni. Why? She can do just about anything with her powers, and she doesn't need time to figure out spells, either, like Nikki might. No, she just looks at a task, centers herself, and does it perfectly. That sort of power is something that doesn't really have a limit, which suits me nicely.

I would like to point out that this poll deals with gaining powers at initial level of skill and control, not at the height they have achieved now. And don't forget about weaknesses (gender change and outside interference not counting) SO?
I chose Jade.
Toni - can do anything with ease, but since it was established her defence mechanism emergency valve was a learnable ability, and not innate, anyone could easily die choosing this. IF they overcome this, well, a little too showy for me.
Fey - Hobgoblins. Allergies. Hearing everything. Also, needs a lot of training to get usefulness. Other than that, a very nice and potent power.
Hank - That's a no-brainer. VERY NICE, but one-sided. Also, invokes Inverse Law of Utility and Lethality. Not much use in normal life. And ravenous appetite.
Tennyo - Super Mode Sue, anyone? But:APPETITE, ILoUaL, spontaneus combustion (of self and others). Okay, maybe we can drop last point due to lack of Ultra-X-Amine.
Ayla - Versatile, nearly unstoppable, smart(EX-4 level). But a little bit one-sided.
Sara - Development potential scyrockets. Feeding habits Ick. Though like Fey can achieve almost anything.
Chou - look up Toni, with some more training to achieve results, with a backup power, without looming death.
Merry/Paige/Petra - A little bit one-sided, no hanky-panky, but God of Cyberspace is nice.
Jade - versatile power in ordinary life, not showy, lots of spare time to do at day, intuitive. While we don't know for sure, she's a repressed (outside interference) Shifter. So a yet another boon.
Never mind, I'm just a guy.
