I can tell you flat out that, the way it's currently set up, your login won't survive a change of IP-number at your end. That's how this forum is set up.

I'm currently on dialup, with a maximum DHCP lease of 12 hours, after which I redial and get a new IP number from the available pool. My login is persistent until I either restart my browser or get a new IP; then I have to log in again.

On some DSL setups, you keep getting reissued the same IP lease after lease, even though the DHCP lease is relatively short; on others, you might have a new one every so often, or every time; there're no guarantees with dynamic-IP.

Look around for either a site that'll tell you, or a tool you can install to determine for yourself, what your IP number (a dot-quad: four decimal numbers 0-255 separated by periods) is, as seen by the Internet. If your login here expires, and your IP just changed, then that's what's causing it, and nothing you can do to your browser will change that behavior.

Yep, your login won't survive a change in IP's. It's part of the security of the board.
