I have backed up the stories and lib. But did not backup the forums. Mistake on my part and I apologize.
That being said I am currently working on locating a sufficiently uptodate backup of the forums themselves and will inform the admin if I acquire such a backup.

In looking through all my HDD space I have not found a backup of our forums.
I am sorry but what we have is the most current I was able to find and that was via wayback machine.

Rubberjohn indicated on the Great Thanks thread that he had .mht files of a fair amount of material | rubberjohn wrote on Mon, 16 May 2011 20:31 | It may be that we, the readers, may be of some help in the restoration of the lost information from the site. I'm sure that I can't be the only one who saves items of interest to their own computer. In addition to all the Canon stories, I know that I have most, if not all, Fan Fiction posts (including some 18 pages of Micro Scenes) since I first started lurking in the shadows around three years ago and I have a lot of the Canon Material and Canon Material Comments posts as well. I save them in .mht format so I don't now if this is of any help.
John.
| reposting back from the .mht's to the forums isn't going to be trivial, but it is possible.

| Letomo wrote on Wed, 18 May 2011 00:42 | What a mixed bag for me. Regained the Letomo nick, but lost all PMs. Lost all my stories; checked the caches, and they cached all the discussion, but none of the actual stories. So, it's all gone.
On the other hand, I was thinking of redoing it. Guess this just pushes that.
| I'd check with rubberjohn on what he has on the .mht files before you give up. The easiest way to read them is with internet explorer, but they are just modified html files.

None that I can think of.

Dr.Troll. I haven't trolled the internet for seven years to be called Mr.
On an unrelated matter, or related depending on how you look at it, how does a single crash eliminate both the source and the backups? Presumably one wouldn't store the backup files for any media on the media that is being backed up.
